"Deep In the HEART of TEXAS"

Okay so not so deep.....more like Central Texas....
Austin to be exact.
Woo Hoo, just back from a trip to Austin where I met with two awesome brides who have hired me for their weddings in September and October.

What a blast! I love Austin and the people who live there. We lived in Austin for 10 years and had our two babies there, so it's HOME! I feel fortunate to have a network of friends and colleagues in the wedding business who still refer to me and keep in touch.

One of my dearest girlfriends, Claudine Lee turned me on to a beautiful book titled: Every town needs a trail: http://www.everytownneedsatrail.com/ It brought back great memories of running town lake many of mornings while training for our half marathons. Some runs....NOT so fun. But no mater what: I always knew I was amongst great people. There is a sort of camaraderie when you're running or walking town lake.

If you ever get the opportunity to visit Texas, be sure to go to Austin and enjoy some awesome live music, town lake and great TEXAS BBQ....there's nothin' like it.

Breaking Loyalties

This is a great subject. I left my Networking group this evening insipred!
All the ladies in this group are intelligent, funny and serious. Serious about their commitments to their families, their small businesses and about life. Every person wants to learn how to grow their business and "keep it"....RETENTION.
This is were breaking loyalties comes in. I'm a Hairstylist. How many of you are loyal to your stylist? Everywhere I go and anyone I meet, I hand a business card to and I tell them what I do. Yes, I know that most people have a Hairstylist. Am I concerned with people breaking their loyalty to their stylist? Sure, and am I concerned with people breaking their loyalty to me? Sure, but I also realize there's soo much out there for people to experiment with and learn about. If you are curious about a tip or technique a Hairstylist mentioned why wouldn't you want to know more? Women are always looking for new ways to blow dry their hair or experiment with eye shadow for the first time in their lives. This is why educating my clients is SO important. This is why I attend shows and classes on a regular basis....so I can pass it on to my clients. All I can ask is that they take the information I offer, use it, and appreciate it. Every road has it's end...so the next time you think about switching gears in your life don't think too hard or for too long......JUST DO IT.
